TAMMY: The weight was always a challenge for me. It's, you know, gained 20, lose, you know, 10, lose 20, gained 30. It was just a battle constantly and, you know, it's not only depressing but it's just—it's hard to live with that day in and day out. It was for me. I've had great success. I've lost 92 pounds in six months and, you know, it is a challenge mentally because, you know, you don’t eat like you used to. You don’t eat those big, three course meals anymore. You have to eat the six meals a day, you know, in small increments because that’s all your stomach would tolerate, but as long as you do what Dr. Northup and his team, you know, tells you to do and watch your protein and food intake, you'll be successful.
MARTHA: I think once you hit 100 pounds over your ideal weight or 150, things start to get really discouraging and, you know, though it's scary to think about a surgical option, sometimes it's the best course of action and, you know, really my recovery, the surgery itself, my recovery, the whole thing was very smooth. I was up and out and about really quickly and right away noticed a difference and what I could consume and my energy level, and as soon as I started putting the right things into my body, I felt so much better, and it just allowed me to just build up momentum and keep going.
BRYAN: You just feel like by your second or third visit, like, “Hey, they knew me. What’s going on guys?” you know. It's real friendly here, real sociable, you know. It makes it different. So 90 days to the day, I've lost 55 pounds, so I mean, there is a testimonial right there. If anybody is out there and, you know, “Oh, yeah, but it still takes time,” it's not going to get much quicker than that, you know.
